Today's session on Wednesday had lower than average volume and was mainly bearish.
NVDA reported at the close of the session, and although they increased their revenues, they expect their sales to decrease in the near future. This may lead to a bearish session tomorrow and more sales of technology stocks, with a rotation towards other sectors.
The S&P 500 fell -0.6% to 5,594 points. This movement allowed the accumulated gain for August to be reduced to -1.3%, while the yield for 2024 stood at +17.2%. For its part, the Nasdaq 100 fell today by -1.2%, while the Dow Jones presented a correction of -0.4%.
The American markets traded in the red and with low volume. At the sector level, 9 of the 11 sectors that make up the S&P 500 closed with losses.
The Financial sector (+0.3%) achieved gains supported by Berkshire Hathaway, a company that during the day reached 1,000 million dollars in market capitalization.
