- Title
- Abstract
- Table of contents
- Introduction
- Purpose
- Hypothesis (specific and supported)
- Background research (This is the Research paper you wrote before you started your experiment.)
- Materials list
- Procedure (written in specific steps)
- Results, this section is a summary of what you found out in your experiment, focusing on your observations, data table, and graph(s), which should be included at this location in the report.
- Conclusion
- Do you accept or reject your hypothesis?
- Tell your results (use numbers)
- Any errors or things you could not control?
- Future questions or investigations?
- Connections to the real-world?
- Acknowledgements
- Bibliography
APPEARANCES MATTER
Neatness counts, spelling counts, grammar counts. Take the time to make the report look really nice. Pay attention to margins, avoid fonts that are difficult to read or are too small or too large, use clean paper, and make print the report cleanly on as good a printer as you can.
